Yeah, I know. Supergirl flying... with birds.... and above a farm no less... could I really be any less original? Probably not. But
this is quite possibly the fastest piece of art I've ever done. Probably because I didn't do half of it. The BG is just a blurred jpeg. CHEATER!
It took me around 2 hours to do. And it's colored! For you young kids out there, it's probably not very impressive. But for someone like me who colors at a snail's pace...that's friggin amazing. So TOOT TOOT goes this horn!
This is the first piece of artwork I've been able to do for myself in a very long time. It was awfully fun.

There is something about the birds and overall character design that gives this piece a very Miyazaki feeling. I think it's the fact that the colors are mostly cool even the warmer ones are muted which has this calming effect. Now I want to see a Miyazaki Supergirl.
Also, I recently saw superman batman apocalypse and it was Awesome!!!! I know WB would probably not go for this but it would have been cool if it was titled Supergirl Apocalypse.
