just bought my today

love it :)
Really good movie!
Nice touch of the unexpected and great "Oh, Snap" I did not see that coming moments.
Nice tip of the hat to Alien franchise too.
Another one out the park! Keep it going.

Will do when I get back To Canada!
Hope it all goes well for you and the release.
Great job to you and all those involved with Green Lantern and Wonder Woman animated films. The quality of animation and storytelling is fantastic. I've been following your blog for a year now along with other sources on Warner Premiere productions. It's good to read how you all pour yourselves into this stuff. It shows and I just wanted to express my sincerest gratitude.
I had some hard choices to make, but... done. I probably didn't need those antibiotics anyway.
Ive never been a DC fan but Green Lantern always seemed cooler than most other heroes, will check this one out when it drops in price for sure!
Got it on Blu-ray from Amazon. Just watched it today. Great movie, keep it up! Although I think I liked Wonder Woman just slightly more.
One thing I would like to say is if you have any say in not using 3D computer generated graphics. I think you should stick with beautiful hand-drawn 2D animation. :)
Lauren, I hope this sells well because GL and WW are easily the best of the bunch. Well done.
How come there was no audio commentary?
Thank you for a Great movie Lauren, my 4yr old loved it as well (he played green lantern the rest of the afternoon and asked me about the characters when we made lunch) and yes i know its pg13. i agree w/hero abt WW + GL, Gotham nights was great as well. Frontiers sucked in story and design (yes i am a fan of cooks work as well as the New Frontiers book I just feel too much was left out for the movie to have the punch and relevance the book had) and i don't know if i wanna waste the money on Public Enemies for the sake of a set. how abt with some of the bigger + more involved stories doing a mini series (like they did w/GI Joe + transformers in the 80's) Cartoon networks hurting for content. Chris Meloni was great as GL and Victor Garber does a great villan/bad guy (see him in Light Sleeper w/ Willem Dufoe and Susan Sarandon). Also THANK YOU for not going w/ the padded bondage outfit for a uniform and opting for his original uniform. whats coming up after Public Enemies so i hopefully have something to look forward to. are there any plans to mine Vertigo for stories (100 bullets tas please :) or Death cost of living or a Sandman tas)
Thank you again and i reallllllllyyyyy luv everything you've done w/ WW and GL !!!!!!
This was my favorite DCU flick yet!
Fantastic!
I've seen GL three times now and always notice something new in the storytelling. Great work. I'm looking forward to Public Enemies. I'm a die-hard Superman fan, so I'm easily sold. I shall wait with baited anticipation. Cheers!
awesome film, never thought a green lantern action scene could be so kinetic
great work

Hey Lauren!! Fantastic work on GL!
I bought the 2-Disc DVD collectors edition. Though I really hoped to see a more "making of" as part of the special features. Most animated features aren't including those anymore, instead they package games and activities for the kids.
I have to ask - what software was used for the animation on GL?
Hi, Lauren! I haven't seen GL yet but I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed Wonder Woman. My 3 1/2 year old son has watched it at least 10 times. Now when I ask him who his favorite superhero is he says 'Wonder Woman!'. Last year it was Batman. Anyway, kudos to the whole team!
just watched this today and loved it! really beautifully animated and boarded stuff. keep'em coming!
Wonder Woman and Green Lantern are like the shining gems in the crown of the DC animated dvds...or something like that. Keep up the awesomeness!
Hey Lauren,
I was just wondering if there were many differences throughout the production of WW and GL?
Was there a particular one you worked on that you enjoyed more?
I bought it on my PS3.I really enjoyed it. Love your art by the way also. I came across your page thru another blog I believe and I'm blown away at the stuff you got on your art blog.
Ryan: I love 2-D as well. However, knowing how much I personally despise drawing vehicles, and how obnoxiously hard it can be to animate them in 2-D, and how bad it can often look...I cannot fault any animation studio for wanting to use 3-D to make their lives a little bit easier. And I'm pretty happy with how the 3-D portions of this movie looked. It's come a long way from how crappy it once looked.
David: I don't know. I was kinda sad we weren't asked to do one. I really enjoy listening to behind the scenes knowledge delivered in commentaries. Oh well.
Bruno: I could tell you, but then I'd have to kill you.
Rhys: I have no idea what animation software was used. But I hear ya on the additional content. I myself would really like to see more making of stuff on our own DVD's. Instead we get a bunch of wierdo interviews about random GL stuff....
Andrew: I like Wonder Woman best. I think I always will. I just like working with girl characters.
Thanks everyone!
you'd have 2 catch me first :P
So, Lauren, how is GL doing comercially?
Greetings Lauren.
Thank you for ANOTHER fantastic movie.
My niece and I have already seen it at least two (2) times together.
Looking forward to your next project->Crisis.
Cheers,
Andy
Lauren,
Watched GL last weekend. It is an AWESOME movie. Finally the character gets the attention he deserves. And just as WW, it would work perfectly as a pilot for an animated series. Has anybody mentioned it?
If you guys could do a series about the Legion of Superheroes, you sure can do one about the Green Lantern Corps.
Okay, so I'm five months late to the party. But the economy had a lot to do with it. I received a FYE gift card for Christmas and GL is what I bought with it.
I'm 40+. Since I was a kid, GL has never been one of my favorite characters. I always found the fact that he makes giant flyswatters and eggbeaters with his ring utterly silly. But the recent development of the Guardians and the Corps has been somewhat intriguing to me. And this movie really played that up well.
I still like the WW film better. It was much more like a live-action film in tone and execution. (And I like Diana better anyway). But this was very good. Can't wait to see your next directorial effort!
