It's a very sad picture to come back with after being absent from the deviant art and the blog for a good few weeks, but it's all I got. I'm drawing a whole lot these days, but it's all for the job and therefor unpostable. So this little nugget of crap is all I have to offer. There are so many things wrong with this perspective-wise I'm not even going to count. I drew this thing a couple months ago. Then I started coloring it. It only took me a few minutes to remember how much I hate coloring. Then I abandoned the endeavor completely. Please no comments of how much better it would look with color, could use some color, wish you could see it in color, etc. It ain't going to happen. Lets just all admit that not even color can save this.
In honor of the wild fires eating up a good portion of California, spewing ash into the air, making my nose run non stop for a couple days due to the copious amounts of unhealthful air I inhaled, turning my spa into nasty grey soup, and giving me an excuse to stay home from work on Tuesday just in case I had to grab my dog and evacuate....here is a crappidy ass drawing of some fire nation kids. They all look wierd, but I haven't had to draw these characters in a good long while, so I'm a little rusty. SO SUE ME!.....I really hate fire. Luckily the Santa Clarita fires are pretty much contained at this point. My prayers go out to all the San Diego residents that are still being affected by the fires.

Cool illustrations despite the problems you pointed out.
I'm resisting the urge to talk about coloring...
Hope you and those who are close to you are safe with all the fires.
sorry about your runny nose!
but your "crappy" perspective looks pretty goddamn good to me!
color me impressed!
(get it...cuz ya hates to color...)
*crickets chirping*
What I like about the top shot is the way you've handled the glove application! It really has movement and looks real! Way to go!
Phhh!! Who needs color when the lines are good? Canyon Country sucks ass when it's on fire. 'Cause they close the 14 and make you drive on the old road.
Sorry to hear about the fire tribulations - crazy disaster - I must respectfully disagree with your art assessments - 'tis truly a triumphant blog return - I really like the gal in the top left.
PS ...great artwork, but does that girl with the fan have 2 left hands?
That's a pinky on her fan hand. Though I can see how it might be confusing.
Ok - right - I see it now...
"nugget of crap"
..That made me laugh.
These are far far far far faaaar away from crap! Beautiful illustrations. The perspective looks great!
I enjoyed looking through your blog, you're an amazing artist.
RAd stuff lauren. And that Avatar press art is awsome.
Good poopy. Me like.
I hear ya about the air quality and runny noses. But that's TMI on my part.

dont be so hard on yourself
i think it looks amazing
The queen of fighter team, too bad they disbanded in the recent games but i always loved the way they interacted together.
Very nice Miss Lauren!
Maybe shrink King's head and hands between 5-10%, then hopefully it'll be more than color worthy! Cause anything KoF is worth colorin'!
Great Stuff!
You have some beautiful work on your blog. I would like your feedback on my book available at http//stores.lulu.com/okoyadesigns thanks alot!
bautiful lines again, let me know when you are ready for another collab ;)
I specially love the perspective work in the first picture, you make it look so effortless.
Amazing work as always! You're a huge inspiration.
I specially like the look on the guy on sketch number 2, it looks like someone on a mission.
